GIRLS TENNIS RECAP
VARSITY TENNIS
The varsity girls’ tennis team defended its NCISAA title with a 5-2 victory over Providence Day. The Hawks duos of Chloe Floyd and Nina Lavelle, and Kate Coppage and Moné Cary, won their doubles match- es, then Chloe Floyd, Nina Lavelle, and Mayes Fisher won their singles matches to give the Hawks the five points needed to win. The team finished the season 10-1, with Kate Coppage, Nina Lavelle, and Chloe Floyd each earning 1st Team All-Conference and All-State honors.
JUNIOR VARSITY TENNIS
The JV girls were 4-2 in inter-conference play. We had solid wins over Charlotte Christian and Charlotte Country Day and two close losses
to Providence Day School. Overall, they won 39 of the 66 (59%) lines played. While freshmen made up the majority of the top six lines, sophomore and junior contributions were significant, especially in lines 3 and 4.
MIDDLE SCHOOL TENNIS
Preseason reports had our tennis season pegged as a rebuilding year, however, we proved everyone wrong. With a reduced season of 6 matches, our team missed having a 500 season by one point in spite of
