    BOYS SOCCER RECAP
       VARSITY SOCCER
The team received the fifth seed going into the state tournament with
a record of 5-5. Two of those losses were tied games at the end of reg- ulation and overtime, that ultimately went to penalty kicks. The Hawks defeated Covenant Day in the second round of the tournament, but lost to the eventual state champion (Carmel Christian) 1-0 in the quarterfinal. Julian Evans and Luke Morgan earned 1st Team All-Conference and Andrew Cowan and Sutton Shumate earned 2nd Team All-Conference recognition.
JUNIOR VARSITY SOCCER
The team showed great discipline and character through the season playing some great soccer at times. The boys were challenged even more this season playing many different formations and the team showed determination and dedication to understand and play all of them to the best of their abilities. Overall, this season was a complete success: The boys worked very hard and seemed to have a lot of fun and we had plenty of camaraderie.
MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER
The 2020 middle school boys’ soccer season was marked by growth and grit: 2 major factors needed on the field, and in life. They demon- strated the mental fortitude to bounce back from setbacks as they came back twice against Country Day to even the score despite being down by two goals. Even in the final moments of losing the final game, they continued to battle hard and give 100% effort until the last whistle.
