ELENA EGGE - CAPTAIN
Elena is one of three seniors who initiat- ed the re-establishment of the Latin Var- sity Cheerleaders through a grassroots effort in the fall of 2018. She has since demonstrated top-notch leadership on the squad – serving this year as one of our captains. Elena is a role model in the way she successfully balances her com- mitment to cheerleading and service to the community, while maintaining a high level of academic excellence. She brings the fire and energy to every practice and game! Elena’s natural athleticism allows her to effortlessly execute her quality tumbling runs, high jumps and strong motions. We love to watch Elena light up the crowd with her effervescent smile and enthusiasm.
CALLIE GARGAGLIANO
This is Callie’s third season with the cheerleading squad, having joined the group in the fall of 2019. Since that time, Callie has made a significant impact on the team, hard work and dedication were evident from week one when she worked for countless hours outside of practice to learn all the material. Callie asked to take on extra responsibilities this year by lead- ing our daily warm ups and condition- ing sessions. She loves all aspects of game day with her teammates and she always comes to practice ready to have fun. Callie’s high level of energy, her love of sport and pas- sion for cheer makes her a natural crowd-leader.
SALLIE HUGHES - CAPTAIN
Sallie has been with the squad since the winter of her sophomore year
and this is her fourth season with the cheerleaders. She is a natural leader and serves as one of the captains of this year’s squad and a cheer rep- resentative on the Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT). Sallie knows how to get the team pumped up for games and also finds ways to raise everyone’s energy during practice.
We all see her as a true spirit-raiser with a tremendous love for the Hawks. Sallie’s hard work in our conditioning sessions is manifested in her strength as a stunt base. Through sincere en- couragement and enthusiasm, she has recruited multiple girls to participate in our sport. Sallie is a joy and her energy is infectious.
