ANNA IANNOTTI
Anna was a wonderful addition to the winter squad last year and is enjoying her second season as a cheerleader. She is a quick learner and has great-
ly improved her motions and dance technique in a very short period of time. Anna has worked hard to build strength in team conditioning sessions and has now stepped up to serve in the critical backspot position for her stunt group. Teammates love Anna’s energy and her playful nature has made practices and games for everyone. Anna thoroughly enjoys performing in front of a crowd and embraces every opportunity to cheer loudly for the Hawks.
CLAIRE LITTLE
Claire is in her second season with the squad. Claire models grace and poise. She leads by example and has brought everyone together to serve others as our squad’s Philanthropy chair. Claire has found creative ways to celebrate birthdays and create care packages for cheer alumni. She has a beautiful heart, is a wonderful listener to her peers and works to ensure our team is a place where everyone feels included and val- ued. Claire is also a wonderfully precise cheerleader - always asking thoughtful questions and applying critiques effi- ciently and accurately.
CARTER LLOYD - CAPTAIN
Carter is one of the girls responsi-
ble for restarting the Charlotte Latin Cheerleading program in the fall of 2018. Carter has been a natural leader of the team ever since and serves as a captain this year, as well as a SALT representative for our sport. Carter has become THE “go to” person who remembers not only the detailed motions and counts of every cheer, chant and dance, but also lineups and placement for all members of the team. She has grown into an excep- tional cheerleader - demonstrating strength, good cheer technique and confidence during her performances.
LILY SMITH
Lily was among the first girls to sign up to cheer when the team was re-estab- lished in the fall of 2018. This is now her fourth season cheering. Her skills as a competitive rock-climber and former gymnast are evident in her difficult tumbling passes that she executes with ease. As a flyer, Lily is fearless and always open to trying new skills and tricks. Lily’s work ethic combined with her playful personality has enhanced our practices and she can energize up the crowd - especially when flipping down the track.
