FOOTBALL SENIORS
LEFT TO RIGHT: Ryan Lietz, William McCabe, Bruno Lahass, Chase Montgomery, Javaris Bufford
Congratulations Seniors!
JAVARIS BUFFORD
Javaris started playing football for the Hawks in middle school, and we knew he would have much to offer the program as he continued to develop. He’s been a two-year starter for the varsity team, and has put in a lot of hard work and dedication on and off the field to become a leader for our offense, de- fense, and special teams over the past three years. Javaris has displayed toughness and a positive attitude – he is always willing to do what it takes to make the team better. We will miss his contributions and his big smile.
BRUNO LAHASS
Bruno has been a real pleasure to coach and is the definition of a gentle giant.
If Bruno knocks someone down in practice, he is quick to help them back on their feet. Bruno has a true desire to better himself as an athlete – putting in work before and after school, on weekends, and sometimes twice a day. He leaves everything on the field each Friday night, and he is an example of the good things that come from hard work and trusting the pro- cess. We will miss Bruno’s “big brother” mentality on the team.
RYAN LIETZ
Ryan has been a four-year member of the Latin foot- ball program, playing wide receiver and defensive back for the Hawks. He is a dy- namic athlete that can play multiple positions on the field. Ryan always has a positive attitude and is willing to jump in anywhere to help the team. He is a senior leader in the Student Athlete Leadership Team (known as SALT), and he has brought those skills to our football program, leading with honor and character. Ryan’s work ethic and many contributions to our program will be missed.
WILLIAM MCCABE
Will is the truest example
of what it means to be a Charlotte Latin Hawk. He is selfless, positive, competi- tive, tough, and willing to do anything that is asked of him. Will has been a 3-year starter on both offense and defense, while shouldering the kicking and punting duties on special teams. He has been a tremen- dous example to his peers
by working every moment to improve his game and bring- ing younger players along with him. Will has truly left the Charlotte Latin program better than he found it.

CHASE MONTGOMERY
Chase returned to the Latin football sideline in 2019 and made an immediate impact. Chase’s versatility allowed him to start at all three linebacker positions and gave our defense the ability to cause match-up issues for opposing offenses. His leadership and energy are apparent in all three phases of the game. As coaches, we are proud of his accomplishments both on and off the gridiron.
