  Congratulations Seniors!
      EMMA CARTER
Emma is a three-year varsity player. She joined the Latin community her soph- omore year and made an impact right away. Emma is a versatile player who can play any position on the field. Her strong stick enables her to push the ball forward and create offensive opportuni- ties for her teammates. She helps guide the younger players on the team. Emma has been very actively involved in club field hockey outside of school. She will be continuing her field hockey career at William Smith College next year. Emma’s favorite field hockey memory is from the practices over the summer. “Being able to hang with everyone and finally play field hockey after a long quarantine.”
MOLLY CLARK
Molly has been in the field hockey program since 7th grade and made an immediate impact when she joined the varsity team two years ago. She
is a defensive force and Grace’s back up. She has an uncanny ability to stop shots just before they go in. She is a quiet leader and is well respected by her teammates for her hard work and dedication. Molly is always willing to help her coaches and teammates and her favorite field hockey memory was last year’s trip to Cary. “It was so fun to go on an overnight trip and after we won our game we got to go and cheer on the football team. It was exciting to win and then help another Latin team win the same night.”
GRACE CRUTCHFIELD - CAPTAIN
Grace is a four-year varsity player and co-captain of this year’s team. She
was All-State and All-Conference last season and second team All-Confer- ence her sophomore year. She was selected as the first team goalkeeper by the Charlotte Observer two years in a row. Grace has played every minute of every game since her freshman year. She posted a shut-out and played a key role in winning the 2018 NCISAA Championship. She has made more than 100 saves this season and is our rock in the defensive end of the field. She is a vocal leader and supports

all of her teammates. Grace’s favorite field hockey memory was “the state championship game my sophomore year when I had a shutout and the feeling when we finally scored a goal in double overtime and I knew that I had actually had a real impact on winning the game.”
