Congratulations Seniors!
KATIE CHAI
Katie has been on the varsity volley- ball team for three years. She has been a strong presence on the court during her senior season, leading the way in every single match. Katie has such a positive spirit and is always ready to improve and compete. Katie is proud of her supportive and pos- itive volleyball family at Latin, and
her favorite memory was celebrating the seniors last season during Senior Night. In addition to playing volleyball, she also throws discus on the track and field team and is a Latin Lifer. Katie plans on majoring in electrical engineering and minoring in computer science next year in college. Katie’s advice to future players is to “keep
on fighting and working towards your goals.”
ANAÏS GENTLES Anaïs is a three-year varsity player,
leading the Hawks on the front line with her dominating presence at the net. Anaïs has recorded a total of 29 blocks throughout her career and led the conference in blocks during her junior season. Anaïs’s proudest mo- ment is when she received the Player of the Year award her junior season. In addition to being one of the top per- formers on the court, Anaïs is also one of the hardest workers and is always up for a challenge. In college, she plans on majoring in biochemistry on the pre-pharmacy track. Anaïs’s advice for future players is to “keep being the amazing people, players, and friends that you are and to have a great, dy- namic season next year. Keep flying high. Go Hawks!”
DEMI STAMATAKOS - CAPTAIN
Demi is a three-year varsity player and has been the starting libero for the Hawks the last two seasons. She has recorded 380 digs over the last three years and led the team on defense her junior and senior season. Demi is proud of the energy on the court that this team brings every single day. Her favor- ite volleyball moment was dressing up for the Dig for the Cure tournament with her team. Demi was also nominated to be a captain her senior season by her fellow teammates because of her te- nacity, strong guidance, and passion for building a team. Demi plans on study- ing environmental science or neurosci- ence in college next year. Her advice
to future players is to “always bring everything you’ve got to the court!”
