THE PROPHET JESUS (PEACE BE UPON HIM)
After Prophet Moses, the second most mentioned prophet in the Quran is Prophet Jesus. There
is an entire chapter about Mary and the birth of her son, the prophet Jesus. The Bible is also

Jesus has been mentioned in the Quran as one of God’s most beloved prophets.
“The likeness of Jesus in Allah’s eye is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then
He said to him “Be!” and he is.” (3:59, Translation from the Quran)
“He (Jesus) said: I am Allah’s servant. He has given me the Book and has made me a prophet.”
(19:30, Translation from the Quran)
Muslims believe that God revealed His word to Prophet Jesus to teach and remind people

Mary to tell her of God’s gift to her.
“Behold! The angels said: O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee – chosen thee
above the women of all nations.” (3:42, Translation from the Quran)
“O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus,
the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those
nearest to Allah.” (3:45, Translation from the Quran)
Of all the prophets before or after, Prophet Jesus was known to have performed the most
miracles, and he is considered one of the most beloved prophets of God. In addition to his
