Using your marker draw a line around the bottle about six inches up. Cut the bottom with your scissors (ask an adult to help you). You may need to start with a small hole before you can cut the bottle.
Place the stones or pebbles in the bottom of the bottle.
This will help the excess water to flow; when the temperature inside your terrarium rises you will have a water cycle.
If you are adding charcoal, place it after the stones.
Put about 2 inches of potting soil on the bottom of the bottle.
Make holes in the soil and put in the plants. Remember all the roots have to be covered.
Water the soil until it is damp, not soaked.
You can decorate it with stones or figurines if you wish.
Place the top on. (Don´t forget the cap)
Place your terrarium in indirect sunlight, the water cycle will do the rest.
After a few days you will see the water droplets inside. This is how your plants will get watered.
