Pronouns
Pronouns are the part of speech used to replace one or more nouns.
One of the purposes of pronouns is to avoid repeating the same noun over and over again.
Examples of pronouns:
He she it we they you I meweus him her
Language Review. Rewrite the sentence by replacing the underlined noun with the correct pronoun.
Thomas Edison was an interesting man.
Baggage men and brakemen wrote articles for the paper. His friends were very proud of Mr. Edison.
The students are writing a report about the light bulb.
