3. Adjectives
You already know:
• Adjectives are words that describe or modify a noun or pronoun.
• They tell how something or someone looks, feels, tastes, smells, or sounds.
• Adjectives usually come before the noun they describe.
• There are different types of adjectives: a) Adjectives of quantity
b) Adjectives that tell what kind
c) Adjectives that compare
• The articles a, an, and the are adjectives. Adjectives of Quantity
The adjectives of quantity will tell us the quantity of the noun. They will answer the questions: How many? or How much?
Examples:
Five, twenty, fifty, sixty, many, much, empty, full, some, any, several, all, few
Examples:
I have given her one mirror.
Several days ago, my husband left.
