3. Language Rules for Capitalization
There are different reasons about why we should use capital letters. in this unit you will learn how and when to use them correctly.

Capital letters are used in names of people. each part of the person’s name begins with a capital letter. For words that name a person’s title you must use a capital letter and after you finish writing the person’s title it must have a period.
The words professor and senator begin with capital letters only when they are used as a title before the person’s name.
My mother’s name is Imelda Zamora.
We saw Senator Diego Vargas.
My sister went to visit Mrs. Cristiana Dagnino.
Capital letters are used at the beginning of the names of days, months, and holidays.
Jane left on the last Friday in September. She returned on Christmas Eve.
