  Simple Tenses.
In English there are three basic tenses: Present, Past and Future.
ExAMPLES:
We must sing his death song. We are very miserable.
ExAMPLES:
He lived with his father and mother. He opened his eyes and sneezed.
a) We use the helping verbs will or shall to form the future tense. ExAMPLE: He will have to go away.
b) You can also form the future tense by using am, is, or are with going to. ExAMPLE: He is going to eat him.
c) Another way to form a future tense is by using the present tense of the verb with an adverb that shows the action taking place in the future.
   • The Present Tense expresses the action or state at the time of speaking.
 • The Past Tense expresses an action that has already taken place. You form the past tense of regular verbs by adding –ed.
 • The Future Tense expresses an action that will happen.
ExAMPLE: Rikki Tikki comes tomorrow.
