Progressive Tenses.
Present Progressive, Past Progressive, Future Progressive.
• Present Progressive Tense describes an action in the present that it is still happening. The action is ongoing.
You form this tense by using:
am/are/ is + verb + -ing ending
Our mongoose is killing a snake.
You form this tense by using:
was/were + verb + -ing ending
He was lying in the hot sun.
• Past Progressive Tense expresses a continuing action in the past.
• Future Progressive Tense describes a continuing action in the future.
You form this tense by using:
will be /shall be + verb + -ing ending
Nag will be eating the eggs.
