Subject - Verb Agreement
One of the basic rules in writing is that the subject and verb have to agree in number. This means that a singular subject goes with a singular verb and a plural subject goes with a plural verb.
Remember verbs are not nouns, you do not add s to form their plural.
The question is how do you know when a verb is plural?
• A simple way to know is by thinking which one you would use with he,
she or it?
ExAMPLES: He was not joking. It is our series.
