• Begin by writing a topic sentence. Remember this is the first impression the reader will get of your writing it is important to capture his attention from the beginning.
• Reread your details and choose the ones that best describe your subject.
• It is important that you change the pattern of the sentences to make the essay more interesting.
• Each new paragraph has to begin with a strong sentence.
• Remember to use comparisons, adjectives and sensory details.
• The ending is a very important paragraph where you may
summarize the information given.
• Y ou may give your opinion.
• Be strong in your last statement.
EDITING:
• Try to improve your essay.
• Check for subject and verb agreement.
• Check your details. Are they appealing to your readers?
• Remember to check that verb tenses are consistent.
PROOFREADING:
• Check for errors.
• Revise your spelling.
• Check punctuation.
PUBLISHING:
• Rewrite your descriptive essay.
• Share it with the class.
