objeCT oF The verb
• An object of the verb is a noun, pronoun, or word group that completes the meaning of a transitive verb.
• A transitive verb is a verb that expresses an action directed toward a person, place, thing, or idea.
Examples:
Wunzh’s father built a lodge.
He had left his home.
There are two kinds of objects the direct object and the indirect object.

• The direct object is a noun, pronoun, or word group that tells who or what receives the action of a transitive verb or shows the result of the action.
Examples:
Men called him Apostle of Germany
