Writing Workshop. Book Report
A book report is a written description of a book you read and your opinion
on it.
A book report should have:
1. Book title
2. Author
3. Illustrator
4. Setting (place and time)
5. Main characters
6. A summary of the story
7. Conclusion
8. Personal opinion of the book
Next, you will read “The Story of the Other Wise Man” by Henry Van Dyke and write a book report about it.
PREWRITING:
a) After you have read Van Dyke´s short story, write notes about the story.
b) Imagine you are telling the story to a friend.

Would you recommend the story to a friend? Why? One of the main purposes of a book review is to encourage the reader to read the book or to avoid it. Use strong arguments to convince the reader of your opinion.
