ACTIVITY. Science Experiment Next, you will learn how to make penicillin with a lemon.
You will need:
• A lemon or small orange
• Plastic wrap
• A clean, clear container with a lid
• Disposable plastic gloves
• A disposable mask to cover your mouth
Your teacher will bring: • A magnifying glass
Instructions:
1. Place the fruit in the container.
2. Add a few drops of water and cover the lemon or orange with the plastic wrap.
3. Place it in the container.
4. Store it for at least 21 days in a dark place.
5. When you unwrap it, be sure to wear GLOVES and a MASK. SOME PEOPLE ARE ALLERGIC TO MOLD.
6. Look at the citrus carefully with the magnifying glass.
