3. Verb Tenses
• Verbs: An action verb tells us what the subject does.
Simple Present Tense
When the action is happening “now,” it is happening in the present.
• If we are talking about a singular noun (one person, place, or thing), most
of the time we will add “s” to the verb.

Example: The frog follows the princess everywhere.

• If we are talking about a plural noun (more than one person, place, or thing), we will not add “s” to the verb.

Example: The princesses dine with the King and his court.
