6. Extension to Geography Germany
You just read a story that takes place in a country named Germany. Do you know anything about Germany?
Berlin is Germany´s capital and its biggest city. Germany has a population of 82 million people. It is considered one of Europe´s most populated countries.
Another very important city in Germany is Munich. It is here where the world famous Oktoberfest happens. Oktoberfest is considered the world´s largest fair. Around six million people attend the 16 day festival every year! Here you will find music, people dancing and, of course, drinking plenty of beer.
Oktoberfest takes place from late September to the first weekend in October. It´s been held since 1810.
Germany is also well known for its automotive industry. Porsche, Mercedes, Volkswagen, and BMW are just a few of the cars that are made in this country.
