A British archaeologist named Howard Carter, with the help of Lord Carnarvon, discovered the tomb in 1922.
It was amazing that the tomb was almost intact. This was a way that archeologist could know about how the pharaohs lived during those times.
There is a legend that says that whoever dares to open the tomb will suffer the consequences. This is because Lord Carnarvon died a few days after the tomb had been discovered.
However the person who actually opened the grave, Howard Carter, lived for another 17 years. What do you think? Do you believe in legends?
