   REGULAR AND IRREGULAR VERBS
Regular verbs are the ones that form their past tense or their par-
ticiple just by adding -ed to the base form of the verb. Example:
expostulate-expostulated
Irregular verbs do not follow this pattern, they are the ones that do not form their past tense by adding –ed to the base form of the verb. Some don’t change at all, others change completely and others simply change a few letters.
