• Choose one of the prompts below; begin your first paragraph with it.
I am not mad...
I know I am a horrible human being but...
You think I am lying but I am not, I will tell you what really happened...
• Decide on your ending, your narrator can help you deceive your reader so the ending is totally unexpected.
• Think of your narrator, why is he unreliable?
Write details that make the reader know he is not to be trusted.
• Start writing what comes to your mind (words, sentences, even pictures).
• Turn the words you just wrote into detail sentences.
• Be creative!

Start writing your first draft with the details you just wrote.
Remember the narrator is the person who is telling the story.
You have to give a complete description of the characters and setting as the narrator sees it, it is not necessary an accurate one. The reader will think he knows what is going to happen but he really is being deceived.
