thank you from the CEO
We have certainly experienced a year like no other. Unprecedented is a word that we heard a lot over 2020, and it certainly was unprecedented for Empart!
My year started with a trip to the field that was suddenly cut short. I came home and went straight into self-isolation, which ended two weeks later when the rest of the state went into lockdown. Our staff began working from home in late March which like most Victorians became pretty much all of 2020. We had to make some significant adjustments as an unknown future loomed. We kept our heads down, worked hard, focused on the task ahead, and above all prayed for guidance and wisdom to navigate through the storm.
As a team, we can all declare that ‘GOD IS GOOD!’. He saw us through the dark days and brought us into a new season. We have seen unprecedented growth in the field and unsurpassed generosity from you our partners.
Thank you for generously standing with our brothers and sisters and making sure they were looked after. Over 5,700 workers whose income disappeared overnight were helped by your generosity. That is so humbling and overwhelming.
Going forward into the next decade, we are focusing on 3 main areas:
• Resourcing the field
that ministry would never be hindered by lack of finances
• East influencing West
to ignite movements in the West inspired by the East
• Raising the next generation
to be ready for greater vision beyond 2030
Partnership is critical to achieving all this. Right now, we have the opportunity to share His love with others that we may never meet on earth. Thank you for the vital role that your contribution makes in loving the unloved and those who have not heard the message yet.
When we look back in 10 years, I know that we will be so thankful that we made the most of the opportunity to invest in the field.
Privileged to share in the journey with you,
Simon Warrick
Chief Executive Officer, Empart Australia
