CONSTITUTION OF THE PALO ALTO GARDEN CLUB

ARTICLE I

The name of the club shall be the Palo Alto Garden Club.

ARTICLE II

PURPOSE
The purpose of this club shall be to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to
encourage the conservation of natural resources and to partake in civic planning, land
development, and the art of flower arranging.

ARTICLE III

MEMBERSHIP
Sec. 1 Any person interested in the purpose for which this club is organized may
become a member by paying the annual dues.

Sec. 2 Membership in the club shall cease on request by the member, or upon non-
payment of dues for a year, if the member has been notified in writing by the treasurer
that such dues are delinquent.

ARTICLE IV

OFFICERS
Sec. 1 The officers of the club shall be: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer,
and auditing committee consisting of two members, all of whom shall be elected for a
term of two years.

ARTICLE V

ELECTION
Sec. 1 A Nominating Committee consisting of three members shall be appointed bi-
annually by the President.

Sec. 2 This committee shall present a slate of officers at the bi-annual meeting at which
time the election shall take place.

Sec. 3 The newly elected officers shall take office at the close of the meeting at which
they are elected.

ARTICLE VI

AUDIT
The auditing committee shall give its report at the last meeting of each year, which is
designated as the Annual Meeting.
