CATCH YOUR SUPPER
The state is literally chock full of lakes, bayous, streams
and wetlands all teaming with crappie, bream, bass and
catfish – to name a few. Charter fishing is available along
the coast, offering excursions into Gulf waters of redfish,
specs, black drum, flounder and much more. Visitors
may also bring their own boats and enjoy South Louisiana’s
many marinas and boat launches.
In North Louisiana, the Louisiana Bass Trail is home to
seven world-class bass fishing lakes in eight State Parks,
including the No. 1 bass fishing lake in the country for the
past two years. To participate in the Louisiana Bass Trail,
pick up a FREE Bassport at any of the participating State
Parks or request one online at LouisianaBassTrail.com.
Once someone has fished at least four stops, they qualify
