Little Sprouts Learning Center
Summer Camp
Try out the Little Sprouts Learning Center for a 4- or 8-week summer session. Natural themes and materials are incorpo- rated through outdoor and indoor activities. Each week we
will discover the wonders of nature through exploration of our woodland trails, pond, creeks and meadows, while encourag- ing children to explore how their lives are a part of the world of nature. Campers should dress for outdoors, wading in creeks, and getting muddy. Please bring bug spray and sunscreen.
Art in Nature Camp
Be inspired by the forest, creeks, and wildlife around you as you paint, create, and make nature-related art each day. You will hike to various points in Pilcher Park and get inspira- tions from the beautiful scenery. You will use di erent media throughout the week including paint, chalk, and clay. Bring a water bottle and a snack. No previous art experience needed. Just bring your creativity and have fun!

You  nd yourself lost while hiking in the woods with your group of friends. Cell phones have no signals. Your friend
just tripped and hurt their ankle. How will you survive until
a rescue party  nds you? What should you bring along with you on such a trip? Do you know basic  rst aid to treat the injured? Can you make a shelter? How about building a  re? What could you  nd to eat? Where is water found and how
do you make it safe to drink? Come to survival camp and you will learn all of these skills! Participants will experience a wide variety of survival techniques. Be a good survivor: dress for the weather, wear sunscreen, bug spray and long pants, and bring a snack and bottle of water. There is an optional overnight on Thursday. You will spend the evening inside the Nature Center in your sleeping bag. There will be a night hike and camp re. Friday morning you will enjoy a pancake breakfast. To register for this part of the program you must have taken the Survival Camp and pay an extra fee. We need a minimum of 8 campers to register for the overnight in order for this portion to run.
Big Sprouts Camp
Join old and new friends for a one week summer session. We will discover the wonders of nature through exploration of our woodland trails, pond, creeks and meadows, while encourag- ing children to explore how their lives are a part of the world of nature. Campers should dress appropriately for hiking, wading in water, and getting dirty. Bring a water bottle, snack, sunscreen, and bug spray.

Get some hands-on time with the crawling critters around us! Kids discover the importance of the little animals in our world, from insects and spiders to turtles and snakes. We’ll try bug races and bug nets and have the opportunity to explore the many wonders found on the forest  oor. Dress for outdoors and bring a water bottle, snack, bug spray, and sunscreen.

Join us for a fun week of water-related activities at Pilcher Park. We will wade in ponds and trudge in creeks throughout the park. Dipping, scooping, collecting and measuring are just some of the fun activities involved. Learn about the creek’s habitats and the critters that live there. You’ll be surprised at what you  nd! Dress for the weather and wear old clothes that can get wet. Bring along a snack each day and have a water bottle, bug spray, sunscreen, and change of clothes.

Green Thumb Camp
Does your child like to dig in the dirt and get his or her hands dirty? In Green Thumb camp, they will create their own garden to take home, sow seeds, learn about pollinators, composting and worms. They will make some crafts and play some fun games. Dress for outdoors and bring a water bottle, snack, bug spray, and sunscreen.
