Specialty Camps
Kinder Camp
This enrichment camp is designed for the child who is in preschool through first grade. A variety of activities will allow self expression, creativity, socialization, and recreation. This camp is theme-based with new activities each week.
Kamp Willow
This will be the first camp experience for your special little one. Your child will be nurtured as he/she learns to cope with separation and will be introduced to group interaction. Hands-on activities will allow him/her to learn while exploring. Large motor skills will be developed through indoor and outdoor activities. Children must be age 2 by the start of class. Children do NOT need to be potty trained.

Camp Sendak
Summer Puddle Jumpers
Whether you’re planning to enroll your child in Sunshine & Rainbows Learning Center, or another area preschool, these classes are necessary. Our curriculum includes valuable, developmentally appropriate activities. Children do not have to be potty trained and parents do not stay with their children for this camp. Summer Puddle Jumpers focuses on getting children accustomed to being away from parents in a warm, caring natural environment. Our goal is to overcome the tears, complete an art creation and teach class participation skills,
as well as focus on more preschool preparedness skills. As the child progresses, he/she will be encouraged to make choices between interest areas, taking turns, listening, circle time, following directions, sharing, and participating in clean-up time. Your child will work on fine motor skills as they learn to use a glue stick, write, draw, and paint using a variety of art materials. Your child will also be visiting our sandbox, playground, flower gardens, and will use our sensory tables. Please dress your child in play clothes.
This learning enrichment camp is designed for the child who just completed first through third grade. Students should enjoy reading, science, and math activities. A variety of activities are available allowing self expression, creativity, socialization, and recreation. Student’s school studies will be enhanced by using traditional camp experiences and activities as well as weekly visits to the Joliet Public Library.

Camp Connect
Art, science, sports, swimming, games, and music will be provided in this active, well-rounded traditional camp. Weekly field trips are included. Campers will be introduced to a wide assortment of activities.

More Than Summer Learning
Your child will enjoy more than summer learning using child centered, integrated curriculum that addresses five important early learning areas: math, art, music, science, and reading and writing. Your child will be engaged in creative, unique, and fun activities by using a variety of materials. Lunch will be provided.
Kinder Camp and Camp Connect (9-weeks)
Early Bird Discount: $100 discount is available when paid in full by May 20
for 10-week or full day camp registrations.
Multi-Sibling Discount: Discount applies to 10-week (full day) camp registrations for all same-household siblings. After first sibling 10-week
(full day) camp registration is paid, each additional same-household sibling will receive $40 off their 10-week (full day) camp registration. Discount does not apply to siblings not residing in the same household, 5-week registration, BEFORE camp, AFTER camp, or BEFORE and AFTER camp registration.
Payment Plans: Are available.
Additional Information: Camp calendars and weekday field trips will be listed at jolietpark.org in April, 2019. Early drop-off and late pick-up are available for a fee. Traditional camp activities and weekly field trips are included as well as swimming at our indoor pool.
