Travelin’ Sand Lot
Staff will provide classroom activities on site including music, movement, arts, and crafts. Playground games will round out this creative morning of fun entirely outside. Lunch will be provided. A detailed calendar of activities will be handed out during the first class session.
Academic Readiness for
Kindergarten & 1st Grade
Will your child be ready for kindergarten? Your child will be introduced to, or review necessary skills for kindergarten and 1st grade success. We’ll make learning numbers, understanding math concepts, reading, writing and science fun. Let your child explore while engaging in games and activities working in both group and individual settings. Lunch will be provided.

Kathy Green Multi-Purpose Center (East Gym)
This camp is for outdoor lovers. We will hike, explore, and investigate the world around us by looking at plants, rocks, insects, and trails. Experiments and crafts round out this camp. Students will have the opportunity to experience traditional camp activities, field trips, and swimming in our indoor pool. Early drop-off and late pick-up are available for a fee. Camp calendars and field trips will be listed at jolietpark.org in April.

Each star will shine as we feature a wide spectrum of entertaining experiences! Our adventures will include mini hikes, crafts, stories, nature projects, plus a variety of sports and games. Camp is held at Inwood Park to round out the natural learning experience. A snack will be provided.
Sports Mania Specialty Camp
Learn the fundamentals of a variety of sports in this active and EXCITING camp! Participants will receive basic knowledge in a different sport each day. Campers will attend one off-site field trip and also swim at Inwood Athletic Club Thursday and Friday afternoon. Each day participants will need to wear athletic shoes and dress for the weather. Children should also bring a backpack with sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, and a hat each day. Lunch will be provided.

Summer Babysitting Clinic
This course covers everything you need to know regarding safety, child behavior, fun activities, and babysitter readiness! Learn the proper techniques for emergencies. All materials are provided including information to use at home to make you the most sought after sitter. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on with young children during this instructional class. Lunch and snack are provided. Please bring a doll or large stuffed animal to class.
