Grandmother, your life was a lamp unto our path, Shining with faith, wisdom, and love that will always last. You walked with God through every day,
And in His service, you showed us the way.
At your table we found more than a meal,
We found lessons of life, truths that were real. Your kindness was steady, your wisdom profound, In every word spoken, God’s grace could be found.
With red lipstick and Sunday best,
You dressed with dignity, with poise, with zest. You cheered for the games, enjoyed every show, And captured life’s moments, so we’d always know.
Though you reminded us, “Money doesn’t spoil,”
You taught us true wealth comes from love and from toil. Most of all, you cherished us, your kin,
And rooted our lives in God’s house within.
Now we honor you, our guide and friend, Your legacy of faith will never end.
From your children’s children, a promise we keep: To serve the Lord, in joy and in peace.
