Family
Some of us may be blessed to love and to be loved once in a lifetime. Because of the life she lived, and the love she gave, Doris was able to experience this more than once. On June 19, 2021, Doris united in holy matrimony with the love of her life, Mr. Clarence “Rick” Moore, or as she called him “Marvelous”. God blessed them in the perfect season of their lives to enjoy a love and union that God ordained and lasted until “death do you part.” The “lessons” of life became blessings to a testimony of blending families in love...
If you knew Doris then you knew not to mess with her family, especially her kids or her grandkids. Her sons, Damian Mathis and Devante Mathis, along with her grandkids, Dezaraye and Drake, witnessed the true characteristics of a Proverbs 31 woman. She embraced the opportunity to finally have a bonus daughter in Kenya, who lovingly called her “Momma D”. Her unconditional love for her family included Rosetta Bell Thomas, her only sister, and her brothers, Ronnie Bell (Tahteid), and Donald Bell, nephews Ethan and La’Warren, and niece Erica Thomas. In addition, Doris enjoyed a host of other relatives, and the Moore family members she gained through her marriage. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Bell, Jr., and Annie Mae Bell. She fully understood the value of living life and making it ‘Mo’Bettah” for herself and others around her, so you shouldn’t be surprised that.....
Passions, Hobbies, and the Joy of Living
Doris was passionate about decorating her home to represent the vibrant person she was and the warmth that she wanted her family to feel. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, and reading. Her style of clothing attire was a beautiful combination of elegance and grace that cannot be duplicated. She was the president of the book club Women Who Read and a member of the Beauties and A Beau Book Club. She was also a member of Altrusa Southwest Dallas County Foundation. Doris never boasted about helping others in their time of need. She was often described as “a beautiful person, inside and out.” Her joy of living is evident in the legacy she leaves........
Legacy and Remembrance
Today we celebrate. Today we honor. Today we know that the fruits of her labor were not in vain. Today we feel her love. Today let us be the legacy that continues the memory of Mrs. Doris Ann Moore. Let us choose to love today because tomorrow may very well be too late. That is her legacy. Tomorrow begins today.......
Final Farewell
A final farewell is an earthly phrase. Doris is smiling and saying, “we will be together, until we meet again............”
