 JURISDICTION:-

The Kurnool post is located on the main trunk line of Kachiguda – Bangalore & Kachiguda -
Chennai. This post is having jurisdiction extends from Dhone (Exclusive) to Gadwal
Inclusive covering as distance of 110 Kilometers on the main line and from Gadwal to
Raichur (exclusive) covering a distance of about 59 Kilometers, total of 169 Kilometers with
15 stations. On 20.05.18 Out Post is opened at Gadwal. After commencing GWD(OP)
KRNT Post having jurisdiction total 110 Km‟s and GWD(OP) having 59 Km‟s and the
adjourning RPF Posts are Dhone and Raichur under Guntakal Division and MBNR Post in
HYB division. This station was the first Capital of Andhra Pradesh before it was shifted to
Hyderabad and also it is the Head quarter for collector & SP of Kurnool.
