On August 2, 2013, Jane Finn Reardon passed away
after a long battle with Cancer. Several days later the
Massachusetts State Police Pipes and Drums Band stood
in formation outside of the Gate Of Heaven Church in
South Boston to say a final farewell to Jane. It was my
last performance as a member of the band and my
proudest moment. For the previous twelve years I got to
wear the uniform of the MSP Pipes and Drums, and for
me it was a dream. I also formed lifelong friendships
with some of the best people I will ever know. It was an
honor and a privilege for me. I loved every minute of it.
