PRONOUN

A. DEFINITION OF PRONOUN

Pronouns are words that are used to replace

people or objects. Pronouns generally replace

nouns' position, subject, object or complement. So,

it can be concluded that pronouns replace people,

animals and objects. Pronouns are words that are

used to replace nouns. These nouns can be people,

animals, places and abstract concepts. The purpose

of using pronouns can be due to many things, such

as making it shorter, a name not being mentioned

repeatedly in a sentence and the effectiveness of a

sentence.

B. FUNCTION OF PRONOUN

A pronoun must agree with the Noun it refers

to. Therefore, if the Noun is singular, the pronoun

must be singular; if the Noun is plural, use a plural

pronoun; if the Noun is feminine, use a feminine

pronoun, and so on.
