The Benign Narcissist is usually fun and quite social, and
like the cavalier 16 year old in that they are superficial, avoidant, dismissive,
with jabbing comments. You can tell them, but they will do it again the next day. They
do not have intent for harm, however, over time this compounded damage is just as deadly and
selfish. They frequently attack, use cruelty and exhibit double standards. Their opinions are rarely thought out. They are extremely proud and wise in their own eyes and are often indirectly oppressive, which takes its toll especially if they are a
parent. This behavior is very confusing to the child.
