Devant :
. Relever le devant du fond de jupe.
Possibilité de travailler sur la jupe droite ou évasée, Ici, nous choisirons un évasement no2.
Tracé du retour de pli sur le devant : Exemple :
. à la taille AC = 5 cm.
.àl'ourletBD=5cm,
. Joindre ACDB.
Il est possible de biaiser le bord du pli :
. à l'ourlet BB' = 1cm.
. à l'ourlet DD'= 1cm.
. Joindre AB' = bord du pli.
et CD' = fond de pli avec couture.
Tracé du fond de pli rapporté en son entier :
r Tracer une ligne verticale XY (Droit fil).
. Sur cet axe/ pofter EF = AB', hauteur du pli devant,
Tracer une ligne perpendiculaire en E et en F :
Sur ces lignes, porter la valeur du fond de pli de part et d'autre de EF,
. à la taille : EG = EH = AC.
. à l'ourlet : FI =FJ= B'D'.
. Fermer le rectangle en joignant GHJI. Les lignes GI et HJ compofteront une couture.
o Plier le papier sur AB' = bord du pli,
. Positionner AB' sur EF, milieu de fond de pli.
. Former le pli.
. Passer la roulette au niveau de la taille et de I'ourlet afin d'obtenir le tracé de fond de pli.

Front :
o Outline the front of a skirt foundation.

It is possible to work with a straight skirt or a flared skirt, For this exercise, we will use a flare No 2.

ç outline the folded part of the pleat interior on the front : example :
. at waist AC = 5 cm.
.athemBD=5cm.
. Join ACDB.
It is possible to incline the pleat edge:
. at hem BB'= lcm.
. at hem DD'= 1cm.
. Join AB, = pleat edge,
and CD' = pleat interior with seam.
Outline the entire separate pleat value.
o Draw a vertical line XY (Straight grain).
. Place EF on this axis. EF = AB', front pleat length.

Draw perpendicular lines to EF :
On these lines, place the pleat value on either side of EF.
. at waist : EG = EH = AC.
. at hem: FI = Fl = B'D'.
. Close the rectangle by joining GHjL The lines GI and HJ have a seam.
. Fold the paper along AB' = pleat edge.
. Place the pleat edge AB' on EF, the middle of the pleat value.
. Fold the pleat.
' Use the trac.ing wheel along the waistline and the hemline in order to obtain the pleat
interior outline.
