Where Do Your Taxes Go?
Many residents are surprised to learn that only about one-third of your total property tax
bill goes to the City of Post Falls. The remaining portion is distributed among several other
taxing entities, including Kootenai County, the Post Falls School District, Kootenai Fire &
Rescue, North Idaho College, the Post Falls Highway District, the Community Library
Network, and the Kootenai County Ambulance District.
