About The Artist

Nardene Manna grew up in the Adelaide Hills and has always had a love of
animals. Throughout her childhood she would always be playing with animals,
especially showing great love for her pet dogs, in particular her current Jack
Russell, Pebbles.

From when she could first pick up a crayon, Nardene has had a passion for
drawing and painting. She attended Uni SA where she began a degree in
Visual Arts but then went on to obtain a full degree in Graphic Design. Since
then Nardene has been creating photorealistic artwork using pastels and
acrylic paints.

Nardene has been able to combine
her love of animals with her drawing
and painting. Her specialty is painting
dogs, where she is able to capture
each animal's true nature and
character. Besides entering her work
in art exhibitions, she has created
many commission pieces, whilst at the
same time teaching at school.

A dream of Nardene's has been to
illustrate children's picture books. She
is very grateful and fortunate to now
have had this amazing opportunity.
