"We all enjoyed a good
feed and shared some
stories about funny
things that had
happened to us growing
up. We had a good laugh
together and all felt
the first bonds of
friendship beginning to
form.
After we’d finished
eating, my two new pals
decided they might
need to retire for a
good lie-down - they were that full! That, of course left us to continue on our
merry way unhampered after lunch, and I reflected, not for the first time,
that friendliness and kindness seemed to achieve a great deal more than
retaliation and retribution."
By the time Uncle Kentucky got to this part of the story - the dogs were all
feeling quite sleepy and each drifted off to their own doggy dreams and
whiled away the afternoon, until Rosie
heard the return of the Dogparents and
alerted all the others with some excited
yapping. Everyone tripped over each other
in their haste to be the first out of the
dog-door to say hello to the Dogparents.
After dinner, a pleasant evening interlude
was enjoyed by all down the back - before
coming in and sharing snuggles, cuddles,
