                                    body  could  be  pleasanter  than  he  is.

                                      “ I Ve  seen  Mr.  Bolander,        He  came
                                    to  see  Randolph  this  morning,  and  he

                                    had  a  great  deal  to  say about  the  like­
                                    ness between  you  and  me.         He  is  quite
                                    a  nice  little  man,”  said  Wilifred,  in  a

                                    patronizing  tone  that  did  not  alto­

                                    gether  please  P eggy;  “ but,  dear  m e!
                                    haven’t  you  anything  pleasant  beside
                                    Mr.  Bolander ? ”

                                       “ Yes,  I Ve  a  lucky  star.     I  see  it  at
                                    night  through  the  skylight.            I  hope

                                    you  have  one,  too,  Wilifred,        i t ’s  such
                                    a  comfort."

                                       “  I  don’t  know  whether  I  Ve  one  01
                                    not,  and  I  don’t  care.  What  good  can

                                    a star be  to  you, when  it ?s ever and ever
                                    so far away ? ”
