 HOPE
IN A BOTTLE
has become the coined phrase that refers to the COVID-19 vaccine. In an effort to end the pandemic and help
heal our community, the Northridge Hospital Foundation received gifts to ensure that everyone from all walks of life had access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
HRSA Provides $1 Million Grant
for COVID Outreach & Vaccinations Northridge Hospital Foundation received
a $1 million grant from Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to educate and assist individuals in accessing and receiving COVID-19 vaccinations.
Our target population was Latinx from underserved areas in the San Fernando Valley, with a strong focus on those who are housing unstable, living in poverty,
and dealing with food insecurity.

Each Need with Dignity, Goodwill, and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to bring COVID-19 education and pop-up vaccine clinics (both walk-in and drive-thru) to areas frequented by our target population. This initiative enabled us to vaccinate 7,454 individuals!
   $190,000 to Support COVID-19 Patients
L.A. County launched the County COVID-19 Community Equity Fund to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in communities disproportionately impacted by the virus. The Northridge Hospital Foundation received $190,000 to increase the hospital’s efforts to raise awareness in our communities on staying safe, addressing fears and misinformation on COVID-19, and connecting residents to social services and vaccination sites.
The Community Equity Fund is a joint effort by the L.A. County Department of Health Services and the L.A. County Department of Public Health in partnership with Community Partners, a nonprofit organization that will coordinate with the community based organizations (CBOs). The CBOs were selected because of their experience in providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services in historically underserved communities.
Our Community Steps up to Help Ukraine
This past year, the Northridge Hospital Foundation, in partnership with the hospital, and our amazing community partners gathered another truckload of supplies to help those impacted by the war in Ukraine.
We are so thankful to our community who has once again stepped up to help us prepare boxes of supplies, including hygiene products, baby supplies, blankets, clothing, and
10 pallets of medical supplies, including tourniquets, syringes, needles, surgical instruments, and other essential items. We’re grateful to Walmart Stores, Svetlana Sheychenko from Convenienceboutique.com, Project C.U.R.E., a nonprofit distributor of surplus medical equipment, and several other community partners who have helped us collect these much needed supplies for the families of Ukraine.
