The Greater Los Angeles Hospital Registry Answers the Call for PPE
Personal protective equipment is in high demand for hospitals during the pandemic, and Northridge Hospital is no stranger to the crucial need for these supplies. Fortunately, the Greater Los Angeles (GLA) Hospital Registry is a free online service that allows hospitals in LA County to list specific needs, and share that information with individuals or organizations that want to help. Created by local community members, this volunteer-run registry partners with the charitable project, Emergency Supply Donor Group, a fiscally sponsored project of Jumpstart Labs.
When the Northridge Hospital Foundation applied for supplies though the GLA Hospital Registry, several organizations stepped in
to donate, including Homeland Security Advisory Council, Peter Lowy, Aspiration,
and Joe Sanberg. In total, the hospital received 8,500 isolation gowns and 1,000 face shields, valued at $25,000.

right now who epitomizes ‘Fighter’ more than you guys who are out there on the front
lines risking your health and safety to keep us safe.” 9
