IN FORM STRIKER DAN JARMAN LOOKS TO ADD TO GOALS TALLY AGAINST TREFELIN
In form Undy striker Dan Jarman is hoping to make it four goals from as many games when they take on Trefelin BGC at the Causeway today.
The pacey left-sided attacker has been in good form of late with goals against Pontypridd, Risca and Llanelli – and another one today will make it eleven for the season.
Speaking ahead of kick off, Dan said: “I am feeling confident in
myself and in good form at the moment. I take it game by game – and today’s match I’m hoping I can add to the goals I’ve already scored this season. As a team, it’s important we kick on now and finish the season as strong as we can no matter what the
outcome is for us as a club.”
Last week’s draw against second place Pontypridd was one of Undy’s best performances of the season, both with individual performances, but also as a collective on the pitch.
Reflecting on the performance, Dan added: “I thought last Saturday’s game was a good test for us. They’ve been near to the top of the table for most of the season. We fought back twice to get back in the game and that is a real testament to the shift the lads put in. We could have also won it in the end with the chances we had – but we were definitely pleased with the point.”
Like a number of the lads at the Causeway, Dan started playing for Undy as a junior and made his first team debut at 16.
He explained: “I’ve played for the club at every age level from the under sixes through to the first team. It means a lot to play for the club because I grew up just a mile from the ground.
It’s also special because I am playing with a number of guys who have had a similar journey as me coming through the ranks as youngsters - and also being some of my best mates outside of football, let alone team mates.”
