John Beckcom, Founder & President
John Beckcom has served as President of Merchco Services Inc. since 1997.
Prior to joining Merchco, John gained experience in purchasing, marketing, retail
management and merchandising for PetCare Inc., Malone & Hyde Inc., Sommers
Drugs, and Kmart. He has over 30 years of management and merchandising
experience in retail food, drug, and specialty stores that have given him a complete
understanding of new store and remodel programs. He attended Sul Ross
University and serves on the Retail Service Providers Committee for World
Alliance for Retail Excellence & Standards.
Joseph Cirelli, Executive Vice President & Director
Joseph Cirelli has over 25 years of experience as a Senior Executive building and
leading high-performance teams at a national level. He has specialized skills in retail
operations, construction, property management, mergers/acquisitions, corporate
real estate, store setup and customer satisfaction. He most recently served as Chief
Real Estate Of cer at Abra Auto Body Repair of America. His former position was
Senior Vice President of Development for Pep Boys Retail & Auto Service Centers.
Joseph earned a B.A. in Organizational Management from Cabrini College and a
Master’s in Business Administration from Drexel University. He is a member of the
International Council of Shopping Centers.
Scott Bouwens, Vice President of Business Development
With over 30 years of experience in retail operations, store planning, and support
services in the retail industry, Scott Bouwens pairs a wealth of experience with a
unique understanding of the client’s needs. Scott has a thorough understanding of
new store and remodel programs, capital projects, and construction. Scott’s focus
is on evaluating client goals and designing programs to achieve those goals, executing
new store set up and chain-wide remodels for national mass market and specialty
retailers, developing new business, and driving growth.
Tim Granoski, Vice President of Operations
Tim Granoski has served as Vice President of Operations for Merchco Services
since March of 2016. Prior to joining Merchco, Tim gained experience in sales,
merchandising, procurement, logistics and operations for a major food wholesaler
serving the grocery industry for 39 years. His background makes him uniquely
qualified to manage complex logistics and managing and developing personnel.

J. Michael Riggan, Director
Michael Riggan has over 30 years of experience in specialty retailing, the service
industry, and wholesaling. He excels in strategic planning, product development,
and market development. His executive experience includes marketing, merchandising,
distribution, real estate development, and store operations. He has experience in
three dif erent retail industries including: Drug Stores, Automotive Aftermarket, and
Pet Food and Supply for AutoZone, Western Auto Supply Company, PetCare, and
The Pep Boys. Most recently he was CEO of Merchant’s Tire and Auto Centers.
He is an alumnus of the University of Texas and Harvard Business School.
He also serves on the Board of Directors of two companies and several
not for profit company boards.
James Cato, Director
James Cato is currently CFO and part owner of ACEL, LLC, a wholesale distribution
business for the retail automotive industry. Jim has extensive experience in the
manufacturing, distribution and retail industries. He has worked for several privately
owned businesses, lending analytical support, fostering profitable growth and helping
to formulate and implement successful succession strategies. Jim is an alumnus of
the University of Virginia and of the Darden business school.
Nancy Beckcom, Secretary
Nancy Beckcom has served as Secretary for Merchco Services Inc. since 2008.
Prior to serving on the Board of Directors she gained experience in human resources,
payroll, and purchasing for Factory Card Outlet, AutoZone, and Super D Drugs. Her
background has rewarded her with experience in employee relations and policy
development. She currently serves on the finance committee at St Marks United
Methodist Church.
James Rosenblatt, Council
James Rosenblatt has served as outside general counsel for Merchco Services Inc.
since 2010. He currently is the President of The Rosenblatt Law Firm, P.C. His firm
represents a number of businesses in the San Antonio and South Texas area.
Mr. Rosenblatt graduated with a JD from Emory Law School, and an MBA from
the University of the Incarnate Word. His practice consists of
acting as outside general counsel.
