Despite the various explanations And the hours of patience
She hears nothing I’m saying. Cotton fills her ears,
And all she hears are whispers from a book Created by people who think they’re
God.
I try to help her,
But people tend not to listen
When they think there’s nothing wrong In the first place.
She listens to no one but herself and God. Even when God wouldn’t approve of what she is doing. In the Bible it says do not antagonize
Your children,
Does it not?
Ephesians 6:4
“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger,”
I believe the same can be said to mothers, Grandmothers, and the sort.
Because you clearly don’t hear anything Unless it is written in The Book and ignore it When it’s deemed too damning.
But all of this could have been avoided And I wouldn’t be as conflicted as I am, If you just loved me enough to
LISTEN.
