 Forbidden Resurrection
Ashleigh Barcomb
Endless moons ago,
I was with you.
Sadly, you can’t feel my touch, Nor hear me shouting your name.
In your world, I am long forgotten.
In this world, solitude is widely known. You are the only one in my mind;
I collapsed into a realm of fantasy.
You’re praying for me to breathe again.
It hurts to see that I am just a voice in your head.
If I try to take your hand,
I will be pulled back to this barren world once again.
Among the shadows, darkness we abide.
My imagination gets to me;
I dance with your ghost,
Why do you leave me here in a complex duality?
Every time I crawl back towards you, the distance grows. It’s dreadful to see that you’ve replaced me.
Oh, I see the dusk in your heart,
She steals your Sun; you're stuck on a cold winter night.
In your mind, I’m fading away.
It enrages me that she raises her fists with lies. You’re out of my reach;
I will never be able to feel your warmth again.
The price of death: loneliness.
It's now my greatest enemy,
The enemy confiscates everything you love; Making sure you are broken forever.
