Marshmallow Kindness
CSM (Carmen Martinez)
I need to stop
Eating marshmallows
You see
When I eat one
I have to eat Two
I'm too afraid of one going alone without a companion That's Marshmallow’s kindness
Then
Fluff gave away
The words came
Walking in strides
Full of grace
“You know I think your Feisty and Beautiful”
The words don't know
about Marshmallow Kindness
That this is a pear with a peach bottom
That the marks stare back at you from the mirror Are overgrown thorn-filled vines
And our belly is fence
That Marshmallow Kindness doesn’t
help the fact
That I might succumb to them
