 Sum
Chelsea Van Der Munnik
More than stepping from shade
to sun, more than the peeling paint
of the deck, it’s an orgasm of bubbling sun after missing one for months.
That firework in the stomach straightening
your back, more like uncut grass and
not swatting away bugs, it’s aftermath after all, heavy cream spilling and more broken branches.
It’s like a falling pear, this midday play. More than the language of pine trees and pink worms, I am talking about taking it all, being filled, and then taking more.
