“Don’t worry little one, you must speak no further. You are clearly in shock and I,
as a man who follows the Goddesses teachings cannot leave a child in such a state.”
This is why I hated the servants of the Goddess! They never listened to a word you said and just assumed you needed their “salvation”. But without him I would be stuck out
here until I either starved or died of dehydration so, it was die again or get helped by the priest and live another day. I sighed and with the most gratitude I could muster I answered.
“Fine, I’ll let myself get saved.”
“That is very sensible of you child. I’ll carry you since you are injured, Arasta Village is the closest place with a medical facility so we must make haste before sundown.”
I decided resisting in my current state would be foolish so I let myself be whisked off to Arasta Village. A trip that I would never forget.

I kept nodding off on the way to the Holy Capital, my frail vessel clearly at its
limits. From a distance it came into view and my blood ran colder with each step closer. Arasta Village was doused in holy light and old legends say that an angel once resided there. As a creature more akin to the demonic side of the spectrum I felt very uneasy and worried that I would burn the second I stepped foot there.
